Learn about proposed SNR code concepts at community forums

Attend one of three community forums to learn about development regulations being considered for County’s Significant Natural Resource areas.


The forums are hosted by Land Use & Transportation Community Planning staff as follows:



Participants can review updates to the County’s Significant Natural Resource inventory map and learn about the proposed development code changes to the natural resource rules.


Spanish language translation and interpretation will be offered at all events. If you need a different spoken language interpreter or sign language interpreter, please call 503-846-3968 (or 7-1-1 for telecommunications Relay Service) at least 48 hours before the event.

Spring forward into daylight savings time

Moving the clock ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday is not the only thing to remember about daylight savings time: Stay alert and travel safely!


Feeling tired from losing an hour of sleep can cause result in vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian crashes and injuries. Statistically, there is an increase in crashes reported after both spring and fall time changes. Avoid travel is you are feeling tired.


It will also be darker in the morning, and visibility will be impacted. Pedestrians and bicyclists should wear reflective clothing and use headlights and bicycle lights.

Open Houses

Visit the Stringtown Road Bridge Online Open House through Sunday (March 10).


Stringtown Road is a rural road west of Forest Grove. We will replace the Stringtown Road bridge over Prickett Creek with a concrete culvert. The construction will require a road closure of up to two months.
