March 6, 2024 - Issue 29

Good evening!

I imagine you are excited about a four-day weekend, well, at least the students are! As we look forward to next week, please be aware that Tuesday, the juniors will be taking the ACT and grades 9, 10 & 12 will have an Independent Study Day. Also, on the calendar for next week is the Sophomore College Night for Parents, Guardians and Students at 6 pm on Thursday, March 14.

Between now and Easter Break, which is fast approaching on March 28, I encourage you to talk with your students about the Career, Job & Volunteer Fair, which will take place on March 21. Students will have the chance to speak with representatives from local organizations and businesses about career, job, and volunteer opportunities. This is an amazing experience that Mrs. Judy Mey, EXP3 Coordinator and Career Coach, organizes twice a year for our students. This is inspiration at its best. Be open to the possibilities, Panthers!

Please take a minute to review the information below. You will find something for everyone to put on your calendars, including the chance to let someone else do the cooking. Support the Junior Senate Fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse on March 19. Who doesn't love dinner out, especially when served those roadhouse rolls and honey butter? Yum!

Enjoy the long weekend, Panthers, and remember to keep the ripple going!

Anatomy & Physiology

Mrs. Esposito shared what the classes were studying in Anatomy & Physiology class today. "In our exploration of cardiovascular physiology, the anatomy and physiology students practiced accurately taking pulse and blood pressure readings. We identified and compared different pulse points throughout the body, as well as the effect of various factors on blood pressure and heart rate. The goal of the investigation was to use the physiological measurements taken to understand the cardiac cycle discussed in class."
