Prevention for Fall-Related Injuries


Researchers from FAU's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine collaborated on a study to investigate the rate of follow-up by older adults who sustain fall-related injuries resulting in emergency department visits.

Meet Hannah Cohen


Hannah Cohen is the new assistant director of administrative operations and special projects for the Division of Research's Office of Vice President.


Cohen has a variety of expertise spanning from non-profit organizations and health care as well as the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration and Customs Border Protection at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.

APEX Accelerator at FAU


FAU’s Innovation and Business Development program has been selected as the regional administrator for the newly named Florida APEX Accelerator, a federal network designed to expand the number of businesses in the United States capable of participating in government contracts. FAU is the exclusive administrator of the APEX Accelerator program for Palm Beach and Broward counties, with the goal of helping create a resilient, sustainable supply chain for the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal, state and local government agencies.

Division of Research Toy Drive


The Division of Research is hosting a toy drive for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. To participate, drop off an unwrapped toy to cubicle C on the third floor of OB-1 by Thursday, Nov. 30


The Division of Research will deliver the toys to the Palm Beach County Toys for Tots location at the South Florida Fairgrounds the first week of December.
