Feedback Requested: Help Define Your Community of Interest

The City Council is seeking input on how to draw the district boundaries for the upcoming transition to district-based elections. Keeping communities with shared interests together is a high-ranking criterion in the line-drawing process. Residents are encouraged to fill out a form to help define these communities.

The Los Altos City Council recognized the recipients of the City's annual employee awards; this year's award recipients comprised staff from Public Works, the City Manager's Office, and Parks & Recreation. The City Council meeting summary, which includes all the actions taken, is found under 'Details.'

Final Four Weeks of City Summer Camps

The City’s summer camps will be offered for four more weeks. Camps run in one-week increments, with half-day or full-day options, through Monday, August 5, for children 3.5 to 11.

Nomination Papers Now Available for '24 Election Candidates

Beginning Monday, July 15, residents (18 years+) interested in running for local office can pull nomination papers by appointment with City Clerk Melissa Thurman. Appointments will be held at City Hall during regular business hours. Nomination papers will be accepted through Friday, August 9, at 5 PM.

Recruitment for Multiple Commissions Underway

The City is recruiting for its Complete Streets, Environmental, Financial, Historical, Planning, and Senior commissions. Commissions serve as advisory bodies to the Los Altos City Council, and have four-year terms (unless noted otherwise). Applications are due Friday, September 6, at 5 PM.
