"I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.”

-- Psalm 89:1

Dear fellow alumni,

You’ve probably heard the old saying, “the more things change, the more they stay the same.” As we look back and celebrate the past 60 years of God’s faithfulness to Concordia University Ann Arbor, this saying sure sounds like it was written for us!

Our first alumni from the early 1960s only paid 31 cents for a gallon of gas and had to use a card catalog in the library to look up information. Meanwhile, our 2023 alumni pay more than 10 times that amount for a gallon of gas and might have to google “card catalog” to know what we’re talking about! 😊 For more fun facts from 1963, check out what was happening at this time 60 years ago!

In our ever-changing world, God’s mercy endures. And thanks be to God, some things never change! By His grace, we stand firm on His Word, and with His help, carry out our mission to serve Christ in the Church and the world.

From pastors and teachers, to business professionals, nurses, occupational therapists and more, we give thanks for God’s faithfulness to all generations of Concordia alumni. HE is the reason for our past, present and future. Hebrews 13:8 says it best, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Happy 60th, Concordia University Ann Arbor!

God’s blessings,

Linda (Schramke) Sproul ‘92

CUAA receives Future Proud Michigan Educator GYO staff grant

CUAA is excited to be one of the approved Michigan educator preparation providers that support the development of new teachers through partnerships with school districts throughout the state. One of the ways that Concordia works with area schools is through the Future Proud Michigan Educator Grow Your Own grant program. School districts were eligible to apply for grant funding that would help cover the costs of certification for employees in their district who are interested in becoming certified teachers. Concordia would like to specifically congratulate three of our partnership districts who were recently awarded grant funding: Clawson Public Schools, Copper Island Academy, and Summit Academy North. Final Thought from

Campus Pastor Randy Duncan

Each morning during the school year, our campus pastor, Randy Duncan, sends out an email full of inspirational thoughts, concepts to ponder, scripture, and prayer requests. We thought we would share some of his thoughts with you each month for us to contemplate.

Final thought: If you live for people's acceptance, you'll die from their rejection.
