Another positive week at the new Pickering Soccer Centre with the general belief that the dome is bigger! 

We encourage our membership to drop by and take a tour as the dome is not physically bigger but has in fact been configured in a much more effective way. We can still offer lots of soccer opportunities and the hard court has been hosting daily pickleball sessions with volleyball booked in already for the summer months. Our soft launch last weekend saw over 600 people attend including our Recreational players and the awesome Walking Soccer group. Everyone had a chance to get back on the turf and enjoy their new home just before we head outdoors.

The hard-court was used throughout the day by Zumba, pickleball and volleyball groups showing the added versatility we can now offer for a wide range of programming. With the new demands on the club through facility, program and player growth, the PFC Board appointed Corrado Roccasalva as General Manager of the Club. The role will see him support Executive Director Matt Greenwood in ensuring the long term growth of the Pickering Football Club as we come out of three tough years and enter an exciting period of growth.

President Ed Whitehead stated "Corrado has been front and centre over the past couple of years working with the City, Farley Group, and contractors to rebuild the dome at a minimal cost to the PFC. Corrado has planned and overseen the design and implementation of the sports court which will provide sporting opportunities for the residents of Pickering". Corrado's role will see him work across all areas of the Club with a strong focus on the internal operations. Ed closed by saying "We are fortunate to have an individual with Corrado's experience and knowledge to prepare our club for the future."

We welcome Corrado to the PFC Staff and look forward to his continued involvement with the Club.

OUTDOOR 2023 REGISTRATION NOW LIVE!

Registration for the on line 2023 Ontario Soccer Match Official Clinics is now open. You will register directly with Ontario Soccer. This link will take you to the information page/registration link for the clinics.

It is important that you read the Student Guide prior to registering for a clinic and it will provide you with valuable information on the clinics, the process, and the practical sessions. If you have any questions, please reach out directly to Ontario Soccer at matchofficials@ontariosoccer.net as this will speed up getting the answers you need. Also consult the FAQ document that can be found on the webpage to assist you.

Entry Level – must be 14 years of age as of March 31, 2023 - $135 fee

Small Sided Game – must be 12 years of age as of March 31, 2023 - $110 fee

Remember to list the Pickering FC as your club when you register!
