Board of Directors Meeting: October | |

Our recent meeting covered a wide range of topics and updates, starting with a roll call and recognition of contributions. Discussions included economic topics like inflation and interest rates, ensuring we're well-informed for strategic planning.
Chairman Jack Seiler stressed strategic planning's importance, and Jean McIntyre updated us on the 2024 summit planning. Dan shared outcomes from the DDT hearing and raised the tunnel vs. bridge issue. We scheduled the holiday party and Maria Medina covered the Business Community Ally Awards.
The meeting also delved into these important areas:
- Treasurer's Report
- Motion to support moratorium on dock waivers along the New River
- Economic Update and Talent Challenges
- Membership and Strategic Planning Updates to Membership growth and retention
- Community impact and social initiatives
- Economic development and job creation
- Strategic Planning and Partnership Migration
- Update on the 2024 Summit Planning the Washington Summit and advocacy efforts
- Chamber President Dan Lindblade's Report on Broward County Balance Scorecard and Other Updates
- Holiday Party and Business Community Ally Awards
- Broward Days and Invitation to Support
