Skills & Labour Market Survey

We've heard from you that Alberta is experiencing a skills shortage - and we want to learn more about the challenges that you face hiring the skills you need.

The Alberta Chambers network has partnered with industry partners and the Government of Alberta to explore skills shortages and labour market issues. If you're struggling to hire skilled talent, this is your chance to have your voice heard.

The survey will take 5 minutes to complete and is open until 5:00 P.M. on April 7th. Research results will be made publicly available on the Alberta Perspectives insight community Hub.

Canadian Chamber of Commerce - Open Letter to Government Opposing the Imposition of a Digital Services Tax

Digital commerce is a key driver of global economic growth. Yet Canada’s unilateral, discriminatory Digital Services Tax (DST) only adds to the headwinds facing Canadian businesses. As Canada prepares to welcome President Biden, we are urging the government to stand still on the Digital Services Tax Act, drop its retroactive application and fully support the implementation of the G20/OECD two-pillar plan that has been agreed to by over 130 countries.

Political Action Day - March 28th, 2023

Our Executive Director Marilyne Aalhus is attending the Political Action Day in Edmonton today.

The full day consists of educational sessions and keynote presentations from knowledgeable and respected experts on current and emerging issues facing the province.

Over 240 attendees are expected to attend the MLA dinner this evening representing chambers from across the province.
