Make your year-end gift by December 31! Donations postmarked or submitted online by December 31 will be eligible for a charitable deduction in tax year 2021. The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 establishes a new, temporary charitable deduction (up to $300 for individuals and $600 for married couples) in tax year 2021 for taxpayers who claim the standard deduction.

  • President Anne Prisco appeared on Women to Watch Media, a national weekly radio show, podcast, and digital platform. Listen here.

  • For the fifth consecutive year, Holy Family University has been awarded the It's On Us PA grant. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on December 10 that Holy Family University is among the 34 Pennsylvania institutions of higher education that will receive grants to combat sexual violence on campus.

  • The Psy.D. program in Counseling Psychology hosted its fifth annual Ethics Forum. Read more here.

  • Dr. Kirstin Sagedy, assistant dean and assistant professor at the School of Nursing & Health Sciences, presented her research on improving nursing students’ attitudes toward end-of-life Care at American Association of Colleges of Nursing Transform 2021 Conference in Dallas, Texas.   • Holy Family University Doctor of Nursing Practice student Ruqiyya Greer '19, MSN, RN, wrote about her experience as a trauma nurse facing a rising number of gunshot victims for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Read more here.

Athletics News

  • Holy Family University was among 43 NCAA Division II member schools to earn The President's Award for Academic Excellence. The President's Award for Academic Excellence is awarded to schools that achieve an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90-percent or higher. Read more here.

  • The women's volleyball team advanced to the NCAA Division II East Region semifinals for the third straight time after defeating No. 4 the University of New Haven, 3-2, in the quarterfinals on December 2. The following night, the team lost to No. 1 American International College in the semifinals.

  • The men's track & field team opened the 2021 indoor season at the Fastrack Season Opener on December 3 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island. Freshman Udoka Odoemene broke two school records in his collegiate debut in both the shot put and weight throw events. Freshman Ty Brown established the first school record for the high jump event as he finished third overall with a height of 6'4.25" (1.94m). Fellow freshman Skyler Salay finished fourth overall with a height of 6'2.25" (1.89m). Brown and Salay are the first two student-athletes from Holy Family to compete in the high jump during the indoor season. 

  • Women's soccer senior Jacqueline Ziegler was named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced by the organization on December 9. Ziegler is the first-ever women's soccer player at Holy Family to receive the honor.

  • Women's soccer sophomore Maura Kilkenny was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region third team as announced by the organization on December 7. This is the second All-Region honor that Kilkenny has received this offseason as she was recently selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region second team.

  • The women's soccer team had five student-athletes named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer All-Academic team. Read more here.

  • Four members of the men's soccer team were among 59 student-athletes from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to earn Men's Soccer All-Academic honors. Read more here.

  • Women's lacrosse spread some early holiday cheer as the team collected toys for the Center for Autism to donate to their annual Holiday Giving Program. The team has been collecting and donating toys for the Center of Autism's program for the past five years. Read more here.

The team at Holy Family University's Career Development Center understands the struggles of navigating the ever-changing job market and the new challenges brought upon by the pandemic.

All alumni are encouraged to utilize the Career Development Center and their connections to countless employers.

Save the Date! Holy Family will host Reunion 2022 on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

All Holy Family alumni are invited to an evening of celebration, remembrance, and fun at Reunion 2022 on Saturday, June 4, 2022!

Join us as we celebrate the 2022 Reunion Classes (all classes ending in “2” and “7”) and Alumni Achievement Award recipients, the Golden Alumni Society (Classes of 1958–1972), and the newest members of the Alumni Family - the Class of 2022!
