FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR
The Family of God
When God in His grace saves us, He adopts us into His eternal family. Not only is God our Father, but we realize we have brothers and sisters in Christ. One of our themes this year at Calvary is “Encourage and build up others.” This is one of the beautiful characteristics of the family of God. Life is often very difficult, and our culture is becoming fragmented, critical, negative, and discouraging. It is always easier to criticize and destroy than to encourage and build up others. John Wesley told someone who claimed to have the gift of criticism to bury it!

After the worship service on Sunday, August 7, we will have our Annual Congregational Meeting. If you are a member, plan to attend. Also, if you are not a member but consider Calvary your spiritual home, you are invited. Undoubtedly God’s hand of blessing is seen at Calvary in so many ways. Let’s be thankful and eagerly anticipate what the Lord will continue to do in us and through us as we encourage and build up one another.
