JUNE 2021 | Volume 46 | Issue 6
The Plum Creek Staff and Elders, along with the NextGen Search Team, invite you to welcome along with us our newest staff member Jimmy Ranshaw. Jimmy is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University and he grew up at Lakeside Christian Church here in northern Kentucky. Jimmy recently served as the Executive Minister: Family, Facility, and Outreach at Milford Christian Church in Milford, Ohio.

Jimmy brings over 15 years of ministry experience to our staff team. Jimmy will be a great addition to our staff and a strong leader to our children and student ministries. He has proven experience of leading NextGen Ministries in the past and has managed children and student staff and volunteers. He is an equipper who will help all those around him develop into leaders themselves. Jimmy is passionate about seeing life change happen in people. He is excited to join us in our mission of leading people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Jimmy is married to his high school sweetheart, Molly. They both grew up in northern Kentucky. They have three amazing children; Buddy (9), Savannah (7), and Grayson (3). Please join us in welcoming the Ranshaw family into our Plum Creek family. Jimmy's first day will be Sunday, June 13 and we'll be hosting a reception after each service in The LifeCenter. Be sure to stop in and introduce yourself! You may also feel free to introduce yourself to Jimmy via email at jimmy@plumcreek.org
NEW SERIES CONTINUES
Many of us grew up learning about David as one of the great heroes of the Bible. However, as you get to know him better, you learn that David was a complicated and deeply flawed man. Still, the Bible refers to David as “a man after God’s own heart.”

Join us for this series and see how the real story of David reveals important truths about ourselves and about Jesus.

WISH (Welcoming International Students Home) is an organization at NKU. Several area churches, including Plum Creek, are partnering with NKU to help these students adjust to their new environment. We are looking for 70 International Friendship Families to connect with an International student. The responsibility of an International Friendship Family is to connect with an international student over the course of the next year. You might pick them up from the airport, have them to your house for dinner, take them out to eat, take them to Jungle Jim's, have them over for popcorn and a movie, take them to a park... Whatever YOUR family might be doing.

Most international students who come to the U.S. never set foot in an American's home. And you can probably imagine how difficult it would be to go to a foreign place for a year or more without a support system in place. If you would like to become an International Friendship Family, please fill out the form at this link: www.plumcreek.org/wish Questions? Please contact Jared Perkins by email: jared@plumcreek.org

Parent & Me is a unique camp experience. It's designed for a parent and child to attend together (a grandparent or guardian would work fine too). The purpose is to connect with our kids on what matters most and be intentional about passing our faith in Jesus to the next generation. The session is open to elementary-aged children, and a parent can attend with more than one child.
Be watching for upcoming small group events this summer!
