The pandemic has not hit harder in many places than it has in the restaurant business. This special edition of Building the Legacy is to remind alumni and friends of Hudson Catholic of our culinary Hawks who make their living in this sector, and to encourage you to make plans to frequent their restaurants soon, and often.
EDWARDS STEAK HOUSE
Pat Donnelly ’86, Dominick Pandolfo '87 & David Barbossa '87 are proprietor's of Edward’s Steakhouse situated in an 1800s brownstone at 239 Marin Blvd. We dare you to find a better steak in the entire city.
15 FOX PLACE
Marc Budinich ’88 owns and operates highly acclaimed 15 Fox Place at that address on the West Side in Jersey City. This is family-style, private-home ambience, with a chef-selected menu. Great for a special dinner for two or an intimate group gathering. Plan ahead for reservations.

Chef Claude Lewis ’99, owns Freetown Road, 640 Newark Ave. He is a graduate of the Culinary Arts School at Hudson County Community College, former Executive Chef at Porta in Jersey City, and a crowned champion on The Food Network’s “Chopped”.

Michael Casalinho ~Hawk Friend~ helms Broa Café at 297 Grove St., downtown Jersey City, serving exquisite Portuguese fare and receiving a lot of attention as part of the ‘new’ Jersey City foodie scene.

In Remembrance, with Love

As we close, acknowledging the recent anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, we remember eight members of our Hudson Catholic family lost that day: Michael Diehl ’70, John Monahan ’72, Paul Nimbley ’77, Bernard Pietronico ’80, Thomas Swift ’88, David Lemagne ’92, Robert Parks Jr. Faculty 1976, and Mary Melendez, Alumni Mother 1996.
