Call for Nominations for NPD Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for National Philanthropy Day (NPD) 2023, which is a special day to recognize and celebrate the charitable work that EVERYONE does to make a difference and create impact in our communities.

We are looking forward to celebrating the incredible work that local philanthropists, organizations, and professional fundraisers are accomplishing in southeastern Wisconsin. The deadline to submit nominations is 5:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023.

AFP NEW MEMBERSHIP DATABASE LAUNCHING 3/7

What You Need To Do

AFP is transitioning to a new membership database on March 7 to better serve you as a professional fundraiser and AFP member. Here's what you need to know to prepare and take action:

On 3/3 - 3/7, all AFP membership login, join, and renewal functionality will be unavailable. Member login functionality will be unavailable and thus, all locked down members-only content will be temporarily unavailable.
On 3/6 or 3/7, you will receive an email with subject line “Welcome to Salesforce: Verify Your Account” that you must click through to verify your account. You have 7 days to take action on this email upon receipt, after which you will need to manually request a new email to verify your account.
After you click through the “Verify Your Account” email, you will be prompted to reset your password. From this point forward you will use your email address and new password to login to your AFP member account.

Grant Group

The Grant Group is one of AFPSEWI's most popular Special Interest Groups (SIGs), meeting virtually every Tuesday morning from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM. The group is planning (4) hybrid sessions this year, where participants can attend in person or virtually to discuss grant opportunities, successes, tips, and general news related to foundation giving. Hybrid session dates are March 21, June 27, September 26, and November 28 at Milwaukee Professional Firefighters Association (5625 West Wisconsin Avenue). The group is open to non-members and frequently attracts 30-40 participants. Contact the group facilitator, Michael Wos, via email at mike@pffwcf.org to register for an upcoming SIG or for questions. (Advanced registration is required for virtual or hybrid sessions.)
