Why did you choose to attend Delta State? I chose to attend DSU because of a great friend of mine named Rodrigo Luczensky who was there and shared great things about it. Also, I was a soccer player and looking for a place that I could get a quality education and play soccer against the top-universities nationwide.
What have you been doing since you graduated from DSU? Since my graduation from DSU, I have decided to return to Brazil to start my professional career and enjoy my family. I was fortunate to join Cisco as a global trainee, and I fell in love with technology industry and specialized myself in it. Then, I joined Meta (aka Facebook) as a sales manager and spent over 3 years developing different B2B markets across Latin America. As of now, I work as a Regional Director for monday.com which is a Israeli organization (NASDAQ: MNDY) that sells a B2B software to manage workflows. My main responsibilities are overseeing a multi-million dollar operation, coaching and developing a high-talent team and establishing a clear go-to-market strategy to sustain our exponential growth for the upcoming years.
How did DSU prepare you for what you're doing now? I often tell people how DSU was crucial to my career and where I learned the following:
Can-do attitude: As an international student, I had to push myself to learn English fluently and at the same time keeping my GPA above 3.0, it required me much effort and persistence to do so.
Resilience: I’ve learned that life is all about consistency and how you execute your routines at excellence every single day with no excuses. DSU pushed me to be my best version, regardless of the challenge.
Hard skills: I’ve developed my professional skills and learned from outstanding teachers on how to manage a business effectively.
Soft skills: As I used to work at the cafeteria everyday, and it provided me the opportunity to learned on how to communicate professionally.
