Greeting CSDS Dancers!
Thank you to all who filled out our recent survey; you can see the results here which the CSDS Board discussed at our last meeting. We are all eager to return to West Coast Swing dancing and the CSDS Board is committed to following the Virginia state guidelines as we explore returning to in-person events. The Board believes vaccination will be a key part to returning to social dancing, and our entire Board has made the decision to be vaccinated. We encourage everyone who wants to get vaccinated to register here: https://vaccinate.virginia.gov/. In the meantime, stay tuned for announcements on some in-person social activities such as a group hike and a vineyard outing!
The next Board of Directors meeting (the 1st Thursday of the month) is May 6th at 6:30 pm EST via Zoom. Please contact the Board with any questions/concerns. As a reminder, CSDS will not hold any in person events (Swing Swap, dances, workshop weekends) until further notice.
Celebration of Dance
CSDS is once again participating in National Dance Week ~ A Celebration of Dance on Friday, April 16th at 6 pm EST; this event will stream on the iDance Ministry, Inc. YouTube Channel (link below). This annual event will highlight the diversity of dance and showcase local, national and international dancers, and will feature the following styles of dance: Acro, Bollywood, Lyrical Jazz, K-Pop, African, Hip Hop, Clogging, Liturgical, Jersey Club, Tap, West Coast Swing. Breaking, Stepping, Broadway Jazz/Theater Dance, House Dance and Irish Step Dance.
Membership Renewal ~ Only $5!
Take advantage of this low fee to renew your membership (or rejoin!), and support CSDS. Even if your membership doesn't expire anytime soon, another year will simply be added to the expiration date of your current membership. To renew your membership at the newly reduced fee, please visit the CSDS website. If you have any questions regarding the status of your membership, please contact CSDS.
