Dear Member, Supporter, Stakeholder,

We have to admit it, we’re ecstatic to finally be getting back on the field with the ability to play games and enter leagues after June 30th. It’s been a long time coming and I’m really pleased to say that the staff efforts in keeping players and coaches connected, while administration does everything they can to prepare player books, league entries and team rosters has put us in a really good position to hit the ground smoothly and to serve you really well.

We naturally expect there to be pinch points as we return because different families, and staff, are at different points in their return to the ‘new normal’. This is a sincere plea to support each other with patience and understanding. Some of those pinch points will be within our control and we guarantee they will be fixed quickly. However, a few will be totally out of our control and we hope that will exemplify how hard we’ve been working to get ready for this day.

PFC would like to congratulate Kailen Sheridan, Jayde Riviere, & Nichelle Prince, our 3 alumni with will be representing Canada this year at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. We are so #PFCProud of them and we now you will all join us in cheering them on next month.

As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, please be mindful of the City of Pickering Noise By-law, and abide by parking by-laws on City streets. With a rush back to the field we want to keep our neighbours happy too!
PFC would also like to say Happy Pride to all our members! This weekend marks the end of Pride Month but we has a club and community will continue to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ Community.

Be sure to check out the Pride events going on this weekend!

We are excited to announce that TSN has done a very special feature on our All Abilities Program and one of our long time athletes Alex. Alex has been with our program since it started in 2008 and will be travelling to Russia this January to represent Canada in speed skating at the next Special Olympics World Games. You may see a sneak peak on Saturday during the Euros!
The full segment will air on TSN this Sunday from 11:10-11:30 am!
It was great to be on the field to welcome back our returning and new athletes to our All Abilities Programs. We have been able to increase our field numbers effective immediately and still have a few spaces available for our programs this summer.

We are happy to share that we have received Jumpstart Sport Relief funding that has allowed us to offer our programs this summer at NO COST to our families. Our first priority is to get our athletes back on the field and get them moving and socializing with one another (from a distance).

How does Jumpstart raise funds to support organizations like the PFC All Abilities Program across Canada? Through the generosity of shoppers at Canadian Tire, Canadian Tire Gas Bars, Sport Check, National Sport’s, and Mark’s. Have you been asked at the check-out if you would like to make a small donation? It is programs like the PFC All Abilities Programs that benefit from those donations.
Ontario Soccer is hosting its 2021 Match Official Clinics online. There is space available in these clinics and for more information on how to register please CLICK HERE.

There are user guides for Students to review to help with the registration process and the expectations of the clinics. When registering you will be asked to identify a club so please remember to enter Pickering FC! Once you register we will add you to our contact list to keep in touch with you regarding PFC Match Official Education Sessions and updates on the 2021 Outdoor season.
