2022-23 theme verse:
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.”
-- Colossians 1:9-11

Dear fellow alumni,
Can you believe we are entering our 60th academic year? All thanks and praise be to God!
Our campus pastor, Rev. Randy Duncan, and students from our campus ministry team are “pre-prayering” for a meaningful spiritual year ahead. Here are some of their thoughts about “Walking in Faith:”
-
We have been prepared and equipped to live out the mission of Christ: Jesus gives us what we need—wisdom, understanding, knowledge, power, endurance, patience, joy—to be His hands and feet on earth.
-
We have been pre-prayered for this work: Paul’s prayers are still at work for us today—as are those of countless other Christ followers who continue to pray for the work of CUAA and our far-reaching faith community.
-
This work is not in vain: God is pleased and people are changed (we bear fruit) when we walk according to His will and purpose.
-
It’s time to get moving again: In some ways, we have been in something of a holding pattern these past two years. The end of the pandemic is in sight. It’s time to set our eyes more firmly on where God is leading us in the days to come.
Knowing Jesus and His love, we are boldly walking forward in a manner worthy of the Lord. It’s time for action, and we are joining Jesus in the adventure of loving others and leading them to Him, in word and deed, as we walk together in faith.
Our opening worship service will be Monday, August 29, at 10:30 am. Alumni are welcome to join us for Chapel anytime!
Walking together with you in faith,

Final Thought from
Campus Pastor Randy Duncan
|
Each morning during the school year, our campus pastor, Randy Duncan, sends out an email full of inspirational thoughts, concepts to ponder, scripture, and prayer requests. We thought we would share some of his thoughts with you each month for us to contemplate.
Final thought: A beautiful thing is that Jesus knows what you are about to tell Him and yet He still lovingly listens.
