Viking Clothing Drive

For everyone in our community, it’s the time for giving. In partnership with Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, Cleveland State University is seeking new or clean winter clothing for donation to the homeless and unhoused community.

Anyone can donate anything. From coats, earmuffs, hats, shirts, sweaters, and socks, all can be donated. For safety reasons, please only donate new or gently used, clean clothing items. Please no undergarments. CSU Rec Donation Box is located in their lobby. For more information, please contact Lisa Evans at l.evans22@csuohio.edu.

They are accepting donations at the CSU Recreation Center until December 16th.

NEWS YOU CAN USE

The City is Our Campus Program

During Dr. Laura Bloomberg’s Investiture she shared her vision for Cleveland State University as: Living Well Together, On Our Campus and In Our City. Concurrently, she declared the rebrand of Campus Recreation Services to University Recreation and Wellbeing. As part of this expanded focus on comprehensive wellbeing, Dr. Bloomberg revealed the inclusion of the Shine Well initiative which aims to help our campus community live a more comprehensive wellness lifestyle.

One way this focus will be achieved is through The City is Our Campus program which provides students the opportunity to participate in activities and trips around Cleveland for little to no cost. Partnering with the Wolstein Center and the Cleveland Charge, CSU students can get FREE tickets to Cleveland Charge games by following the instructions below:

  1. Visit exclusive Seat Geek webpage (the CSUSTUDENTS code is automatically applied)
  2. Select date/game
  3. Select desired tickets (limit 4 per transaction)
  4. Click “Go to checkout”
  5. Log-in to your Seat Geek account or create an account by entering you email address and mobile number
  6. Follow prompts to confirm and pay (ticket total will show $0.00)
  7. Place order (tickets will be in your Seat Geek account)
