This past Tuesday, the CMA held its Emerging Trends in Healthcare program. The topic of discussion was Firearm Diseases in Central Ohio. Our panel of experts spoke on the many ways firearms can kill or injure, gun violence trends in Ohio, what the Ohio Legislature has policy-wise surrounding gun safety, how physicians can encourage safe firearm storage for patients, and so much more. Ohio General Assembly: Lame Duck Session Update

The Ohio General Assembly’s post-election “Lame Duck” session is in full swing. Any legislation that does not pass by the end of December must be re-drafted and start from scratch in January with the newly elected General Assembly.
