May is upon us & the weather is still great here at the beach! There are lots of events happening this month, especially the Summer Concert Series and Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner. Room rates for week nights start at $113 a night, so book your stay with us now.

Protecting our employees and guests is uppermost in our minds, so plexiglass barriers have been installed at the front desk. Because our housekeepers perform a thorough cleaning of the rooms upon checkout, which takes a longer time period, we are unable to offer late checkouts at this time. Our continental breakfast has been discontinued for now, but coffee pots & coffee packets are in your room.
Housekeepers will only clean your room during your stay if you request it, but when they do the cleaning you will need to leave the room. The gym, hot tub and breakfast are closed; our pool deck chairs are spaced per social distancing guidelines. The lower portion of the pool deck remains a non-smoking area however, smoking is permitted in other designated areas.
Effective June 28, 2020, the City of Daytona Beach adopted a resolution requiring residents and guests in the city to wear face coverings indoors in circumstances where social distancing is not possible. Therefore, we ask all guests to wear face coverings when in the common areas of the property, which mostly includes the hallways, lobby and elevators.

2021 marks the bicentennial of the death of France's most famous ruler in the past, Napoleon Bonaparte I. This exhibition will contain examples of the many types of objects in the MOAS collection that touch on the reign of this incredibly influential leader who sponsored a comprehensive movement known as Neoclassicism in early 19th century French art. Paintings, sculpture, and works on paper will join furniture, porcelain, glass, decorative fans, and ephemera in this look at the pervasive influence of this highly consequential historical figure.

Cinco de Mayo Street Party

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Mexico’s rich heritage at Downtown Daytona Signature Event's Cinco de Mayo Celebration! This traditional fiesta will be held in downtown Daytona Beach on Wednesday, May 5 from 5 to 10 p.m.The Daytona Beach Cinco de Mayo street party is free and open to the public.
Beach Street will be closed to traffic from Bay Street to 3rd Avenue (in front of Tia Cori’s Tacos, 214 N. Beach Street) for the Cinco de Mayo street party.
This family-friendly event will feature a stage with live music and a DJ. South of the border beers and foods will be available for purchase. Enjoy food trucks, festival food, adult libations including margaritas in several flavors, along with plenty of free parking.
In keeping with the celebration, Cinco de Mayo 2021 happens to be Tia Cori’s Tacos 10 year anniversary serving downtown Daytona Beach. Located at the north end of downtown Daytona Beach on Beach Street, Tia Cori’s is known for serving an “authentic taste of Mexico,” which contributes to making the Cinco de Mayo street party a perfect excuse to throw a perfect fiesta!

St. Paul and The Broken Bones - Live! At the Bandshell

St. Paul and The Broken Bones will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell. St. Paul & The Broken Bones, a soul group, formed in 2012 and released albums in 2014 and 2016. They are led by Alabama-based lead singer Paul Janeway. The band has opened for The Rolling Stones and headlined two nights at the Ryman Auditorium. They also have had television appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Organizers of the concert series are offering the performances at a reduced capacity and with social distancing protocols in place. Social distancing protocols include: Guests are required to wear face coverings when in the Bandshell. Guests are required to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and have their temperature checked before entering the bandshell. Tickets are available to purchase in pairs. Seating arranged in groups of two, followed by two empty seats.

In 2021, catch a live summer concert at the Bandshell every Saturday night from May 29 through September 25 starting at 7:15 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:45 p.m. at the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Pier. All seating is reserved and includes a chair. General Reserved tickets are $4 / VIP Reserved tickets are $10.
