As a proud Canada Soccer National Youth License (NYL) holder we would like to congratulate Head Coach John Herdman, his playing staff and the 'team behind the team'. Over the course of his tenure, first as the CWNT Head Coach and now with the CMNT he has raised the professionalism of the national program to levels we've never seen before. Our role as a NYL Grassroots club is to under pin the national program with dynamic, fun, engaging programs that will further grow that player base for future generations. Pickering FC invests annually in coach development and match official development that supports the investment made by families every single day. Our relationship with our players, coaches, match officials and administrators is one that we see as transformational and not simply transactional.
Paying a fee for a soccer program is a simple way of looking at the transaction between club and parent. It puts little emphasis on the transformational work that PFC staff do in the background and the work we do on the field to provide a fun, safe and developmentally appropriate program. Work behind the scenes as we prepare for program delivery this summer gives us many transformative opportunities as we build relationships with new members, new partners and enhance that connection with our current membership. That transformational relationship is amplified on the field as our coaches and match officials grow and inspire the next generation of players.
