A Message From Monsignor Finelli
I hope all are well and enjoying these beautiful summer days and cool nights.

I wish to inform you that this week our school principal, Mr. Joseph Disidore offered me his resignation. Mr. Disidore has taken a position as Assistant Principal of Bangor High School. I’m sure you’ll join with me in thanking him for his four years of service to our school and to wish him well in the future.

At this time the search for our new principal has already begun. I have been in contact with the Diocese of Allentown Education Office, as well our School Board Chair, Mrs. Lynn Fuini-Hetten, in developing a search committee and listing the position. I'm confident the search will end in a very positive way. In the meantime I have asked Mrs. Jody Myers to fill in as the interim principal. Mrs. Myers readily agreed, for which I’m most thankful.

We entrust this entire process to Saint Joseph who will watch over us and guide all our endeavors.
World Day for Grandparents is this Sunday
We invite all the grandparents of the parish to remain after each Mass this weekend to receive a blessing on this occasion which has been set aside by Pope Francis to honor you. May God bless you for the important role you play in living out the Catholic Faith in your family.
The Flea Market is in the Parish Center until July 25th (tomorrow): Everything is FREE!!!

Saturday : 9 AM-6:00 PM, or until everything is gone. We may be open on Sunday after Mass if any merchandise remains.
Come early!

Volunteer Opportunities

-If you have a talent for listening and a heart for the grieving, the Bereavement Committee is in need of volunteers to help our parishioners in the process of planning funeral Masses for their loved ones. Training is provided, and the time commitment is minimal. Contact Sue Mueller at 610-392-2957.

-Adoration is looking for four regular adorers who can come weekly at 10 AM on Tuesday or Wednesday and 12 noon or 4 PM on Friday. If any of these hours work with your schedule, please contact Mary or Ed at adoration@stjwchurch.org. Substitute adorers are also welcome! Please let us know if you wish to be added to the sub list if someone can't make it, as well as your availability.

-Helping Hands needs volunteers to sell gift cards before and after Mass on Saturday and Sunday. You choose your time preference. The commitment is generally every 3 to 4 weeks.
-Helping Hands is also looking for someone to volunteer in the office on Mondays with strong skills in Excel spreadsheets and Quicken.
Contact Jonelle at 610-395-2876, ext. 174 or helpinghands@stjw.org
**Any hours worked for Helping Hands can be counted toward school volunteer hours**
Prayer for Our Parish

May God bless all of our parish grandparents and those who fill this important role for those without grandparents. Sts. Joachim and Anne, grandparents of Jesus, pray for us!

Dear God,
I believe that you have the ability to convert everyone at St. Joseph the Worker Church and I beg you to perform miracles in our lives that we will come to love you and never want to offend you.
I beg you to let us see our sins and run to the confessional, that the lines will be out the door.
Set the hearts of our priests on fire so that they burn with the desire for the conversion of every soul in the parish.
I implore you to make St. Joseph's a beacon in our diocese, that souls will be drawn by the holiness they find here.
I ask that you blind Satan to every parishioner, that they might have the space to know and love you without temptation.
I offer myself to you completely at whatever the cost.
Amen
The Parish Office is open from 9 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. If you have a question, you can email our secretary, Morgan, at parishoffice@stjwchurch.org
