We Need Your Help Today!
The deadline to contact your senator to support National History Day in Mass. is 22 May

National History Day (NHD) in Massachusetts, MHS's hallmark educational program, prepares young people for college, careers, and active citizenship.

Thanks to a $50K earmark in the state budget and your support, we have been able to make significant inroads in developing the classroom materials and programming necessary to sustain NHD in current schools, while working to grow the program across the state.

Please contact your Massachusetts state senator today and request their support for Amendment #622 in the FY24 budget, which would provide $100K in funding for NHD. Visit our NHD advocacy page for suggested scripts for phone calls, e-mails, and social media posts as well as contact information for your senator.
