Students in Lakehill's Lower School recently unveiled their artistic entries for the 14th annual Triangle Rules poster contest.
Each fall, students participate in a contest to illustrate the three rules that form the Lower School Code of Behavior. Known as the Triangle Rules, they are based on respect, safety, and providing a welcoming environment to all.
Winners were announced on November 16 during a special, virtual assembly. Head of Lower School John Trout presented the awards.
This year's winners were:
Emma Jones, third grade - first place
Sid Shanks, second grade - second place
Zoe Lavie, second grade - third place
Camille Rehm, first grade - fourth place (tie)
Lyra Novice, third grade - fourth place (tie)
Charlotte Gerstle, fourth grade - fourth place (tie)
Allie Lerma, third grade - fifth place (tie)
Ella Konrad, third grade - fifth place (tie)
Link Esneault, third grade - fifth place (tie)
Gavin Salazar, fourth grade - fifth place (tie)
Emma's winning poster, selected from a record-breaking 43 entries, will be displayed throughout the Lower School.
Seventeen students were also recognized at the assembly with honorable mentions. Recipients were kindergartner Harry Wachsmann; first graders Anya Kumar, Brooklyn Booth, Carl Martinez, Hannah Dickstein, Mia Nemunaitis, Nick Shultz, and Rose Mitchell; second graders Drew Smedley and Margaret Harvey; third graders Aidan Andreason, Nathaniel Knickel, Serena Elsalameen, and Sutton Kulwicki; and fourth graders Becca Yttredahl, Jackson Booth, and Sebastian Ruiz.
