We are delighted to share an update on two major fundraising initiatives at Trinity High School -- our EmPOWERed Campaign and our Trinity Theater Renovation Plan.
EmPOWERed Campaign Update
Dear Trinity Community,

As you may know, the EmPOWERed Campaign had two main goals: establish a Trinity High School Endowment fund and enhance Trinity’s facilities to improve accessibility, security, and sustainability.

We are thrilled to announce that the EmPOWERed Campaign has raised nearly $6 million for Trinity High School -- which is a historic moment for Trinity as this is the largest campaign effort in its history. We are grateful for the leadership and hard work of our late former President Sr. Michelle Germanson O.P., former Vice President of Institutional Advancement Christine Lee Bollettino '68, the EmPOWERed Campaign Tri-Chairs, Honorary Chairs, Steering Committee, and the incredible generosity of our EmPOWERed Campaign donors. One of the campaign goals was to raise $1.5 million to establish an endowment. We are excited to share that we currently have over $2 million in an endowment fund that will support student scholarships and ensure that we attract and retain the best faculty and staff! For the last year, Trinity’s Administration and Tri-Chairs have worked together to determine the best pathway forward for this campaign. This Campaign has been a long process; the devoted Tri-Chairs have never given up. And, though we were slowed down a bit with the pandemic -- it did not stop us!  We have reimagined and rescaled the building aspect of the Campaign so that our Trinity students, faculty, and staff can begin benefitting from these enhancements as soon as possible while also maintaining the same original goals:  ACCESSIBILITY, SECURITY, and SUSTAINABILITYThe following describes our three-part construction project.

EmPOWERed Construction Project
  1. Horizontal & Vertical Link
  2. Enclosed Courtyard
  3. Auditorium Accessibility
Horizontal & Vertical Link
We plan to install a much-needed elevator and connecting walkway of the academic building to the Sr. Michelle Germanson Athletic Facility to improve our accessibility and security. You will see features that mimic the cloister walk located at The Mound to pay homage to our Sinsinawa Dominicans Sisters.
Enclosed Courtyard
An enclosed courtyard will be designed and landscaped for outdoor education, recreation, events, and green space all using sustainable practices.
Auditorium Accessibility
We will be enhancing our ADA accessibility in Trinity's Auditorium -- including access to the stage.

We are thrilled to be working with a nearly all-female team for the design and construction. We are working with Cullen Construction Management, a woman-owned and all-female-led project team to serve as our Owner’s Rep and Wight & Co--nearly all-female team to serve as our architect, civil engineer, landscape designer, and sustainability lead.
The Trinity Administration and EmPOWERed Campaign Tri-Chairs would like to share our deepest gratitude to all who have supported this historic campaign. It may have taken a little longer than planned, but we are full steam ahead now!

An update on the progress of the EmPOWERed Campaign will be included in our Trinity Connection, an e-newsletter for Trinity’s alumnae and friends.

Trinity Theater Renovation Plan
Over 50-year-old auditorium seating
Asbestos abatement completed
And, in other news…

While we are making great strides with our EmPOWERed Campaign, we are also moving ahead with our auditorium renovation. In gratitude to a very generous donor who left a significant bequest to Trinity and to all who supported the Trinity Theater Renovation Plan (inspired by the Class of 1963) by naming seats in our auditorium, we are finally able to move forward with renovation plans.

As of last night, Trinity’s Board of Directors has approved a comprehensive renovation of our auditorium! Fortunately, while our students were away over Christmas break, we already took the first step -- an asbestos abatement. We plan to refinish the floors, paint, install new aisle lighting, replace all of the chairs, and (wipe the sweat from your brow) install new HVAC which will offer heating, ventilation, and ... wait for it ... AIR CONDITIONING!!! (cue the cheering).

Stay tuned! There is more to come!
