April 2023

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add

a single hour to your life?”

-- Matthew 6:25-27

Dear fellow alumni,

Remember what it felt like to come back to campus after spring break? The reality of assignments, due dates, relationships, and pressures all seem to pile up at once. While our days of preparing for finals are behind us, we all face moments of anxiety and stress.

The good news is Jesus cares for us and we don’t have to worry about it!

Jesus told his disciples, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me.” John 14:1

The end of the academic year is here along with multiple invitations for you to enjoy a slice of campus life! This issue has something for everyone. Keep scrolling to find out about upcoming music, athletics and academic events, and alumni volunteering for Cardinal Connection Days. We always love having you back on campus!

As we enter into Holy Week, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Jesus cares for you!

Networking book now available in the Zimmerman Library

We’ve all heard the phrase, “it’s who you know.” Relationship building is the foundation of successful networking, and CUAA is glad we know Joseph Luckett, author and researcher in the global networking field. Haab School of Business new faculty member Beth Heiss facilitated the inclusion in the library. Click here to read more about Zero to 100: The Gold Standard of Global Networking.

Final Thought from

Campus Pastor Randy Duncan

Each morning during the school year, our campus pastor, Randy Duncan, sends out an email full of inspirational thoughts, concepts to ponder, scripture, and prayer requests. We thought we would share some of his thoughts with you each month for us to contemplate.

Final thought: Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
