Good afternoon LRES Families,
We hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend. Please be sure that your online registration in Powerschool has been updated/completed. We want to be sure we have the most up to date and accurate contact information for families.
We use this information to contact families during the day, if needed, as well as for the LRES Tuesday updates, LRES Friday phone calls, and any information that needs to be sent out from the SAU. If you have any questions or are having difficulty with the parent portal on Powerschool, please contact Lara DePaola and she would be happy to assist you (603) 895-3117 ext. 382.

Message From The Superintendent

Hybrid Families
Classroom teachers have started using Google Classroom this week to post assignments and check attendance. This will be the primary source for remote students to access lessons and activities on remote days. If you do not have a device at home to access the google classroom, please let your classroom teacher know, so that they can continue to send activities home for your child to complete on remote days, until a device can be provided to you.

Materials pick up will be Friday, October 23 between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
Technology Update
Reminder: For those families needing a district-provided device, we need to be sure the following has been done first:
- Returning student registration needs to be completed.
- The Chromebook permission slip needs to be signed and returned.
- If the student has a device that has not been returned they will not get another.
If you borrowed a device (Chromebook or Ipad) last spring and did not return the device, we are asking that you please return the device to school ASAP. We need to put new labels on the devices, check for any updates, add a case, and have you sign new forms for this school year. We will return the device to you as soon as this is completed.

Reminder to please refrain from sending students to school with masks that have exhalation valves on them. Here’s why. Please reach out to the School Nurses’ Office if you need cloth masks for your student and we will help!
Now is still the perfect time for you and your family to receive a seasonal flu vaccine!

Red Ribbon Week at LRES!
Red Ribbon Week is coming to LRES! Once again, LRES is teaming up with the Raymond Coalition for Youth and taking time to commemorate this important week. Recognizing that drug and alcohol prevention efforts MUST start early, LRES is committed to creating a week focused on healthy decisions, medication safety and goal setting! During the week we will be sharing a quick video via your student’s google classrooms as well as providing fun, optional activities for the entire family. Lastly, each child will receive a Red Ribbon Week t-shirt. The week of October 26 we will have Monday and Tuesdays students wear their Red Ribbon T-Shirts (to support solidarity in pledging to be drug free) – and on Wednesday and Thursday students are encouraged to wear their pajamas to school – (to support Following their dreams)!

Get Those Smiles Ready | Picture Are October 14 & 15
Students on the Hybrid Schedule will have picture day on the day they are in school (Oct. 14th A Day students, Oct.15th B Day students).
If parents of Full Remote students would like their child to have their picture taken, here is the schedule for Full Remote classes.
Wednesday, October 14th
Ms. Michaud/Ms. Ramsdell class 9:30 am -10:00 am
Ms. Ajemian class 9:45 am - 10:15 am
Ms. Nivison’s class 10:15 am - 10:45 am
Thursday, October 15th
Ms. Jones 9:30 am - 10:00 am
Mr. Elsemore 9:45 am - 10:15 am
We will have two cameras to photograph students outside. Class photos will not be taken this year. Photographers will wear PPE equipment and stay socially distant at all times.
If your child is not able to attend picture day, we are working with Geskus to schedule a make up day. We will let you know as soon as that date and time is scheduled.
Families have the option of ordering online at www.geskusprint.com or by completing the order forms provided to us, that will be sent home with your child.

More October dates have been added to the Remote Meals online ordering system. Please remember that orders are due in by 7:00 am on Friday for pick up the following week. And yes, MEALS ARE FREE, now through December! For BOTH Hybrid and Fully Remote learners - get more information here!

School Board Information
The School Board will meet regarding 2021-2022 budget preparation this month with individual budget presentations from each school department.
The schedule of School Board meetings for the remainder of October is:

All meetings are scheduled to be held in the RHS Media Center. More information can always be found at www.sau33.com/agenda, including public information provided to the Board as backup for the meetings, as we get closer to each meeting date.
