Beacon of Hope
To usher in a new era of neuroscience research, education and community engagement, Florida Atlantic held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute on FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter. The multimillion-dollar, 58,000-square-foot facility will serve as a “beacon of hope” for the study and amelioration of numerous brain and behavioral disorders. Teacher Education and School Leaders Programs Receive Clean CAEP Reaccreditation
Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education teacher education and school leaders programs that lead to eligibility for certification received final accreditation with no areas for improvement and no stipulations on Nov. 18, 2022 under the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for a period of seven years from fall 2022 to fall 2029. NeuroSquad Graduates
FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute's NeuroSquad recently graduated 21 junior neuroscientists through the Advancing STEM: Community Engagement through Neuroscience Discovery (ASCEND) NeuroExplorers program. An ASCEND graduation ceremony and laboratory tours were held at the new building on Dec. 14.

Mark Sadek, undergraduate student biology at Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, landed a role in DC Universe's upcoming film Black Adam with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) named FAU the 2022 Degree Completion Award winner. The annual award identifies, recognizes and rewards institutions with innovative approaches to improve degree completion. This is the first time FAU has been the recipient of this prestigious award, and the second year in a row that the APLU has named FAU a finalist.
