With more information than ever before, we know you’ll find the
answers to most of your questions on our website.
Dear Member, Supporter or Stakeholder,

With Premier Ford’s announcement yesterday of an extension to the stay-at-home order I think it hit many of us hard, again. Appeals from the soccer and sport community to allow us to ‘Let Us Play’ are growing louder and as a sanctioned, organized sports club we tread a fine line between promoting the sport we love and also working within the boundaries of our elected officials. Our teams and programs will continue to prepare for a safe return to the field but not at the expense of local by-laws. As a reminder, the City of Pickering has not issued any field permits for any sport in 2021 at this time. If you do see groups using fields please contact City of Pickering By-law enforcement at 905.683.7575 or toll free at 1.877.420.4666.

The pandemic has provided Club Board, Staff and Coaches with a good chance to reflect on the work we do. This reflection is leading nicely into our kick-off of a new strategic plan for 2022-2026. As Club Members, Supports and Stakeholders you will be asked to provide your input into this plan. Look out for specific online surveys in the next few weeks that will be sent to you depending on your connection with the Club. We hope you enjoy sharing your thoughts on the current direction and future plans for the Club. This is your club after all and we want you to be #PFCProud.

To get you in the mood please take the time to complete the Canada Soccer Member Survey. This survey will help guide the national strategic plan for 2022-2026 and may give you some ideas for the direction we as a Club want to head in.

In the mean time stay safe and stay active – our return to the field is not far away!
Today we planted a Celebration Maple at the Pickering Football Club, a living memorial for Lucas MacIsaac. We shared Lucas’s story with our PFC Club two weeks ago and are looking forward to watching this tree bloom and grown as Lucas lives on in our hearts and memory.
As we prepare for our summer season, there are still a lot of unknowns for our All Abilities Programs.

Two of our biggest logistical questions are:
  1. When will the City of Pickering allow us to start our outdoor programming?
  2. How many people will they allow us to play with on a field? For these reasons – we cannot open registration yet.

As we await the governments next announcement, we have started a waiting list for those athletes interested in participating in our programming this summer. Please note that spaces will be very limited this summer for our outdoor programs. Priority for all programs will be given to those who played with us this winter season - and had their season interrupted and were unable to complete their "registered" season.

1. My son/daughter wants to play with a friend, is this possible?
Yes, of course! It is important to create the best possible experience for all players. Please email admin-rec@pickeringfc.ca to request a Play with Request form that will need to be submitted to manage any request.

2. What equipment will I need to purchase for my child?
Shin pads and soccer shoes. The registration fee for all players includes a jersey, shorts and socks. For players U3 to U12 a ball is included in the registration fee.

3. What are the plans for 2021 outdoor recreational? Is registration open?
We are planning and working towards a 2021 Outdoor Season subject to the Covid guidelines that we all must follow.
We had OVER 75 players and coaches attend the April 20th Match Officials Education session that focused on Game Management. It was a great opportunity to have the 3 groups in the same session as it helped provide some insight on what a Match Official does during the game so it is played safely and fairly.

Our next session is on Tuesday, May 18, topic is TBD
Ontario Soccer is hosting its 2021 Match Official Clinics online. There is space available in these clinics and for more information on how to register please CLICK HERE.

There are user guides for Students to review to help with the registration process and the expectations of the clinics. When registering you will be asked to identify a club so please remember to enter Pickering FC! Once you register we will add you to our contact list to keep in touch with you regarding PFC Match Official Education Sessions and updates on the 2021 Outdoor season.

The online clinics end on May 27th, so if you are interested you will need to start the clinic no later than May 15th in order to have enough time to complete the modules before attending the mandatory webinar and writing the exam.
