A Note From Mrs. Yacek
Good Afternoon LRES Families,

I wanted to thank the Raymond Girl Scout Troop 10427 for dedicating the Little Free Library to LRES! You can find this “book mailbox” in front of our school. Feel free to stop by and choose a book to borrow or trade a book so someone else can borrow a great book that your child has enjoyed reading.
A quick reminder that this Friday is a Full Remote day for all students.

Planning Ahead:

  • Friday, Oct. 2nd - No School
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6th - LRES Virtual Open House
  • Friday, Oct. 9th - LRES Principal’s Virtual Coffee Hour
  • Wed, Oct. 14th & Thurs, October 15th- LRES Picture Days
Hybrid Families

It is important that students bring the work they completed on their remote days, to school the next day. This is how classroom teachers justify attendance and mark students present during remote days (until we have all families prepared and ready to use google classroom on a regular basis, at home).

Grades 2 and 3 have shared updated Choice Boards for remote learning days. They are included here.

Full Remote Families

Please see the link below regarding the remote expectations:

Materials pick up will be this Friday, Sept. 25th between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
Ms. Crompton, LRES PE teacher, will be sending home pedometers for the grade 2 full remote students, to use during PE class. Please review and sign the waiver that will be included in this week’s Friday materials.

The first and second grade teachers along with administration will be contacting families this week regarding final changes to our class placements.
A Important Message From Our Nurses Office

We want to make sure that all parents are aware that both the NH Division of Public Health and the CDC do not recommend masks that have exhalation valves on them. These actually recirculate the air that a person is breathing back into the environment, making the mask more comfortable yet far less effective and in fact counterproductive. Please consider reviewing this CDC link that explains some more dos and don'ts when it comes to selecting a mask. In general, gaiters are also less effective face coverings. Moving forward, if we notice a child with a mask in place that has an exhalation valve, we will ask them to change into a school provided mask. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in keeping our school and students safe and ready to learn! We have been so impressed with how well the students are doing with their masks.
