A Year-end Message from President Lisa Avery
As 2020 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you for your incredible support. While the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly impacted every aspect of life, my thoughts are on the incredible endurance of a community who cares deeply about lifting one another up and helping folks persevere.

Community Rays Gala Nets $50,000 for Students and Programs
On Nov. 19th, as the days grew shorter in a city already darkened by a worldwide pandemic, more than 100 people gathered virtually to help LBCC spread some mid-valley light.

President Emeritus Hamann Receives NC3 Leadership Award
The National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) has presented Dr. Greg Hamann with the 2020 NC3 Leadership Award for his dedication and commitment to career and technical education.

Dr. Ramycia McGhee: "We're a Family, too."
Coming from City College in Chicago to LBCC was a culture shock, but Dr. Ramycia McGhee said she feels like she’s found
a second home. Now, she goes out of her way to ensure that students feel the same.

From One Student to Another: Don't Be Afraid to Ask for Help
With the recent loss of his father to pancreatic cancer, the idea of coming to LBCC was a scary one. “I had no idea what to expect,” said Ian Delgado, of Lebanon. “But the faculty and the staff made me feel really supported. They made me feel like they wanted me to succeed.” Ian knows his father would be proud.
