Useful Tips: Ace Your Interview!
Many employers are interviewing via phone and/or Skype! Often the questions are the same as a face-to-face interview. Here are some tips to help you ace your interview:
Before the interview—How to get ready!
  • Google information about the company you will be interviewing with.

  • Re-read the job posting and refresh your memory about the responsibilities and skills needed for this job.

  • Be ready 5 minutes early and make sure you have a strong signal. You do not want to miss this important call!

During the interview—What you might be asked!
  • “Tell me about yourself.” Talk about your values and align them with the company values.

  • “Why should we hire you?” Talk about your strengths: you are organized, you are a quick-learner, you are flexible with your schedule. Make sure you highlight your skills that are specific to the job you are interviewing for.

  • "What are your weaknesses?" Focus their attention on how you use that weakness to benefit their business. For a Customer Service job, you might say: “I will spend a lot of time to make sure the client is satisfied.”

After your interview—Call to follow-up!
