Discover Free Resources at TVCC!
Each October is International AAC Awareness Month. The goal is to raise awareness of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). We think awareness should continue throughout the year so, in November, we are shining the spotlight on AAC.

You can access several free augmentative communication resources on our website, from eLearning modules to how-to videos - we have you covered! Keep reading to expand your knowledge and discover some great new resources.

Below are just a couple of the areas that you can find resources on:
Using Symbols -
handouts modeling and giving kids a chance to use symbols to talk.
Clarification Strategies - explore how augmentative strategies can help kids and their communication partners share a message effectively.
Exploring Technology - help generate some ideas about messages that can be recorded onto simple speech generating devices.
How-To Videos
Do you prefer to learn through video tutorials? We have those too! Our "how-to" videos walkthrough using platforms such as Snap + Core, Word Power, and general Apple iPad settings.
Communication Boards for Users of AAC
"Libraries for All" is a joint project between London Public Library and TVCC.

Communication boards are available in all libraries for patrons who cannot talk or have speech that is difficult to understand. There are two alphabet boards, a word board and a picture board.

Request the use of a communication board at any London Library help desk.
