MAKE A RESOLUTION TO MAKE RESEDA A BETTER PLACE!
VACANT SEATS ON RESEDA NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL
It’s still not too late to make a New Year’s resolution to help your community! Be the change you want to see! The Reseda Neighborhood Council has three vacant seats currently, and will soon have available specialty seats as well!
The first open seat is a Business Stakeholder seat, this is for anyone who works, owns a rental property, or owns a business in Reseda. The other seat is an At-Large seat which is for anyone who has an ongoing stake of some sort in Reseda. We also have a vacancy in our Young Adult Seat, which is for anyone between the ages of 18 and 20 who lives, works, or owns property in Reseda. Detailed qualifications can be found at:
The two specialty seats are our Youth and Young Adult Board Member seats. These are appointed on an annual basis on June 1st and allow local students and young adults to participate in local government without having to make a long term commitment. Spread the word to any civic-minded students or young adults you know!
The RNC is only as good as our Volunteer Community Leaders who join us. We need you on board! For further inquiries regarding these positions, please contact: [email protected].

NEW WATER CONSERVATION RULES, EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2022
Under the rules, residents will be assigned two watering days a week based on their addresses — Monday and Friday for odd addresses and Thursday and Sunday for even ones — with watering capped at only eight minutes, or 15 minutes for sprinklers with water-conserving nozzles. No watering will be allowed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. regardless of the watering days.
Those who don’t comply with the new rules will receive a warning, followed by escalating fines for each subsequent violation, Adams said.

WHO ARE YOU??
If you operate a business in Reseda, you are entitled to list your business at no cost in the Reseda Business Directory.
This offer is open to all businesses in Reseda, whether you operate from a store front, office building or your own home. Businesses that operate from home will be listed as Home Business.
Complete the attached form and return it by email, regular mail or call to have it picked up.
It is necessary to redo the Directory because we lost quite a few due to the Pandemic and many businesses remodeled to compensate. Closed businesses also allowed new businesses to open.

BusinessSource Centers
The Mid-City BusinessSource Center helped Ara Tien, owner of Chop Chop Chicken, obtain COVID-19 disaster loans saving his business and jobs for 18 employees
If you have been impacted by the pandemic, EWDD wants to help. Visit our COVID-19 Resources Page to access information and programs for business owners and the community.
EWDD’s BusinessSource, WorkSource and YouthSource Centers continue to operate, with some centers offering limited, scheduled in-person appointments. Please contact your local center before visiting to allow staff time to prepare and maintain social distancing according to public safety guidelines.
COVID-19 has highlighted the financial fragility of many small businesses. Financial counselors can help counter these negative fiscal impacts, assist in recovery, and help local businesses to thrive. Money Management International (MMI) has agreed to provide credit and debt counseling with targeted support to small business owners in the City of LA at no cost.
BusinessSource Centers provide startup ventures and current small business owners various cost-effective tools to make their business a success. Through these tools, small businesses can grow and remain competitive within the City of Los Angeles.
Most services are provided at NO COST to LA business owners and resident entrepreneurs.

- MYLA311 also works for many other reasons to report problems to the city.
- Report graffiti, downed trees, traffic sign problems, and more.
- Take a photo with your phone and submit it to MYLA311. Your photo contains the location of the problem with time and date stamp, so you don't even have to type all of that in.....
- Woke up on a Sunday morning and found my driveway blocked by a large tree branch. Reported on MYLA311 and in a little over 2 hours, a City truck showed up and a man with a chain saw cut it up and stacked it in the parkway.
- Use this quick method of reporting.
