MHS Co-hosting MA Civic Learning Week Session

Civic Learning Week 2023 seeks to highlight the importance of civics education in sustaining and strengthening constitutional democracy in the United States. As part of a full week of activities, David Walker, Black Activist and Civic Leader in 19th-century Boston highlights the civic contributions of David Walker, an activist and abolitionist. This workshop is a collaboration between the MHS and Boston Public Schools and will take place on 6 March, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM.

Register for this workshop. This session is geared towards educators and students, but all are welcome to attend.

Clover: A New Play Tickets Available

Mark your calendar for 18 March, at 2:00 PM, when the MHS will host a staged reading of Clover: A New Play, with Laura Rocklyn, playwright and actor, and Ty Hallmark, playwright and director. The reading will be followed by a discussion with Natalie Dykstra, author of the 2012 biography Clover Adams: A Gilded and Heartbreaking Life. The program will conclude with a reception.
