You're Invited: City Council Reorganization Reception

Community members are invited to a reception on Tuesday, December 10, at 8 PM at the Los Altos City Community Center to welcome the new mayor and vice mayor. Desserts will be served. Guests will also receive a commemorative pin recognizing the vibrancy of the downtown.

Winter Class Registration Starts This Week

Los Altos residents can register for winter classes starting Monday, December 2. A complete listing of all winter classes and activities is available online. Classes start Tuesday, January 14.

Los Altos Minimum Wage Set to Increase January 2025

As of January 1, 2025, the minimum wage in Los Altos will increase to $18.20 per hour, in keeping with the Los Altos City Council adoption of a citywide minimum wage in 2016. Minimum wage is adjusted annually based on the US Department of Labor’s Regional Consumer Price Index.

You're Invited: Winter-Themed Family Fun Day

Families of all ages are invited to the next Family Fun Day on Saturday, December 14, from 10 AM-1 PM, at the Los Altos Community Center. This event will feature winter-themed games, crafts, movies, and read alouds.  Family Fun Days is a free event; no registration is required.

Recruitment for Multiple Commissions Closes in December

Several commissions and committees currently have vacancies. These appointed bodies advise the Los Altos City Council and have four-year terms (unless noted otherwise). Applications are due Friday, December 20, at 5 PM.
