A Note from the BHA President
As our high season comes to a close, I reach out to our membership to make you all aware of our executive director’s resignation effective September 13, 2024. The Board appreciates Carrie Moffett’s 13 years of service not only to the BHA but to the BHI community. Carrie has informed me that she will help the Board make this transition as seamless as possible and I thank her for that.
As Board President, I will be overseeing this process and with the aid of staff and the rest of the Board, we will ensure that although we may see some near-term changes in operational routine while we navigate the hiring of a new executive director or possible temporary executive director, day to day operations will be intact.
Inevitably, change happens and when it does there are always questions. I would caution our members that finding answers on social media is not the solution. I would encourage all to reach out to not just one but all of your Board members. Your Board is committed to keeping our HOA strong!
In the interim, I would ask members to reach out to suggest any changes in Association structure, practices, costs, etc., going forward. I have committed and will continue to meet with every staff member, committee chair along with any committee member as this transition takes place.
