Los Altos Earns Nationwide Recognition Amongst Small Cities

In a recent WalletHub analysis of over 1,300 small cities across the US, Los Altos received the highest ranking amongst California cities and #42 ranking nationwide for 'Best Small City.' This accolade is based on evaluating 45 key indicators of livability, including quality of life, economic health, and safety.

Agenda Available for Upcoming City Council Meeting

The agenda lists all the items to be discussed during the Tuesday, October 8 meeting. Prior to the meeting, the City Council has a closed session at 6 PM. Community members can watch the City Council meeting at the Council Chambers (1 N San Antonio Rd) or live on the City's YouTube channel.

Feedback Requested: District-Based Elections Draft Maps

The updated draft maps are available for public review; they will be reviewed by the City Council during the next public hearing on Tuesday, October 8, at 7 PM in the Council Chambers. Residents are invited to attend and provide feedback on which map best represents Los Altos.

Walking, Biking, & Rolling to School Safely

As we approach International Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Week (Oct 7-11), residents are reminded to drive with extra caution in school zones, wear helmets (if biking, skateboarding, or scootering), and obey road laws. Parents can review the suggested route to their child's school on the City's website.

You're Invited: Halloween Movie Night

A free screening of "Minions: The Rise of Gru", co-hosted by Parks & Recreation and the Parks, Arts, Recreation, & Cultural Commission, takes place Saturday, October 19, at 7 PM on the Grant Park Soccer Field (1575 Holt Ave). Admission is free; blankets and chairs are recommended.
