Parks & Recreation's offering of fall classes for all ages begins this week and runs through the week of December 9. Registration for fall classes continues throughout the season.

'Coffee, Community, & Conversation' Happening This Week

Councilmember Lynette Lee Eng welcomes the community to meet the new Los Altos Police Chief, Saskia Lagergren, on Wednesday, September 11, at 12 PM at the Grant Park Multi-Purpose Room. Chief Lagergren will share how she intends to lead the Los Altos Police Department into the future.

Feedback Requested: Upcoming Community Workshops

The City is hosting two community workshops to discuss district-based elections and receive input on the draft maps. Workshops are scheduled for Saturday, September 14, at 11:30 AM at the Los Altos Community Center and Monday, September 16, at 6:30 PM at the Grant Park Multipurpose Room.

Compassion Week Volunteer Registration Open

Compassion Week (Sept. 21-29) began 12 years ago to foster greater awareness of community members in need through local volunteerism. Volunteer opportunities are available for projects focusing on concerns such as hunger, homelessness, education, veterans, the environment, etc.
