Dr. Prisco honored by Philadelphia Business Journal
Anne Prisco, Ph.D., President of Holy Family University, is one of 36 women who will be honored as a 2022 Women of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The nominees include Philadelphia-area community leaders, lawyers, educators, bankers, and executives.

The Women of Distinction program was established to recognize "women in the business community who are blazing a trail at their respective companies, are respected for accomplishments within their fields, give back to the community and are sought out as respected advisors and mentors." Holy Family Soccer Alumni honors classmate
On Saturday, October 22, members of Holy Family's Men's Soccer Alumni attended the Women's and Men's soccer game in memory of their classmate, James Hurley Milligan '93, who passed away in August.

Milligan, who was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009, was honored at half-time of the men's soccer game. Special guests in attendance included former HFU men's soccer coach, Joe Disalvo, and members of the Milligan family.

  • Through November 16, The Holy Family University Art Gallery proudly presents: Heartbeat, mixed media works by Torey Akers. The Holy Family University Gallery is located on the Lower Level of the Sister Francesca Onley Education and Technology Center.
  • Through November 25, all are invited to enjoy Personal Visions: Holy Family University's Student Art Exhibit at Cranaleith Spiritual Center. This exhibit is the first of its kind for Cranaleith Spiritual Center (located at 13475 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116) and features the work of eight Holy Family University students. An Artist Reception is planned for November 1st at 5:30 p.m.
Athletics News

  • Softball alumna, Lindsey (Iden) Speeney '13, was featured in a CACC Title IX Spotlight. Speeney was honored by the league as a top former female student-athlete as part of the legislation’s 50th anniversary.




  • Holy Family University Men's and Women's Cross-Country teams closed out their regular seasons at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial at Belmont Plateau on Saturday, October 15. The Men's team placed fifth and the Women's team placed third. Both teams will compete in the CACC Championship on Sunday, October 30 and the NCAA East Region Championship on Saturday, November 19.

Wanna meet real-life ghostbusters?

Back by popular demand, the Campus Library is pleased to host welcome Officer John Levy and Glenn Orwan of Olde City Paranormal (O.C.P.) who investigate and educate about paranormal activity in the Philadelphia area.

Join us virtually via YouTube Live or in-person at the Campus Library on Monday, October 31 at 12:50 p.m. (University Common Hour) to learn about O.C.P.'s investigations at Fort Mifflin, Graeme Park, and more! There is no charge to attend this presentation.

Glen Foerd Speaker Series: Aaron Sullivan
On Thursday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the ETC Auditorium, Aaron Sullivan, author of The Disaffected: Britain's Occupation of Philadelphia, will speak as part of the Glen Foerd-Holy Family University Speaker Series.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests may also watch via Zoom.

Dr. Aaron Sullivan is an Instructor of history at Rider University. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from LeTourneau University and a Ph.D. in History from Temple University. He has received awards and fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies, the Pennsylvania State Society Daughters of the American Colonists, and the David Library of the American Revolution. The American Revolution Round Table of Philadelphia named The Disaffected the best book on the American Revolution Era in 2019.

On Wednesday, November 16, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., dine-in or order take-out at Nifty Fifties (2491 Grant Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114) to raise money for Holy Family’s Class of 2023 Senior Class Legacy Campaign!

Last Chance! Public Service Loan Forgiveness Waiver available until October 31, 2022
Do you have federal student loans and work for a public service employer? Have you heard about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program?

The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on federal Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying payments while working full-time for a qualifying public service employer.

Millions of non-profit and government employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness or additional credit through the Limited PSLF Waiver, which is available to borrowers until October 31, 2022.

Apply for Federal Student Loan Debt Relief
The Federal Student Loan Debt Relief program seeks to provide eligible borrowers with a one-time full or partial discharge of their loans. Federal Pell Grant recipients may receive up to $20,000 in debt relief and others may receive up to $10,000 in debt relief.

The Alumni Office is pleased to announce that Reunion 2023 will be held on-campus in conjunction with Commencement activities on May 18-20, 2023.

Reunion en bleu and the Alumni Awards Presentation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023. All will be invited to join us as we celebrate the 2023 Reunion Classes (those ending in a “3” or an “8”), including the Class of 1973 (50 years), the Class of 1998 (25 years), the Class of 2013 (10 years), and the Class of 2018 (5 years)!
