It is with mixed emotions that we share that Steve Fasone, Founding Director of our Psychiatry Technology Group, has made the very exciting decision to retire this summer, winding down his full-time time with us on July 26, 2024. Since joining Psychiatry in 2000, Steve has visioned, supported, built, installed, maintained, staffed, produced, polished, updated, refined, modernized, designed, tested, re-tested, and, honestly, perfected countless efforts spanning across our department. Tony Pisani Named to SAMHSA Technical Experts Panel
| Tony Pisani, PhD has been invited to serve on the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)'s Technical Experts Panel- "Embedding Equity and Building the Suicide Prevention Workforce for Underserved Communities." The panel will hold its first meeting in July and continue work to advise SAMHSA on this critical area. | |

Katie Rice Named Secretary of Psychology Coalition at the UN |
Katie Rice, PhD has been officially voted in as the Psychology Coalition at the UN (PCUN)’s Secretary starting August 2024! PCUN is an international group that organizes to advocate for all things relating to psychology at the UN as well as across the globe.
She will continue to serve on the UN's “Program Committee” organizing their virtual Psychology Day event and developing a new “Psychology Speaks” hybrid program.
