CMA's Practice Manager Community

The theme for this year’s CMA Practice Manager Meetings will be ‘professional and personal wellness’. Our presenters will share valuable and actionable information on how to promote wellness and relieve (some) stress in the workplace.

Our goal for the year is to provide information from experts that you can actually apply and

foster meaningful connection with your peers (the ones that actually get what

you experience daily.)

The Role of Assertive Communication Skills in Supporting Mental Health Wellness at Work

Wednesday, April 10, 2024 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM

This session will start with a reflection on our own self-care not only in our non-work lives but also professionally. One of the components of self-care in a professional setting is the ability to communicate effectively with others, especially as we define and enforce our boundaries.

We will work through an interactive exercise to assess where we are on the assertive communication spectrum and discuss practical steps to further develop that skill.
