November 2024

"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

--Nehemiah 8:10

Dear Concordia alumni,

This month we remember Veteran's Day and all who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice, demonstrating their love for friends and for freedom. As we honor our veterans, we give thanks for their lives of service and sacrifice for our country. Please read the full chapter of John 15 and reflect on Jesus and His supreme sacrifice for our eternal freedom. Let us love one another as He loves us!

Keep scrolling for news and events from your alma mater. Boar’s Head is coming for 2024! And yes, Boar's Head tickets are still available. Please let us know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to help.

Update from Mike Duffy, Interim Campus Executive

Homecoming was well-attended—a beautiful day with lots of alumni back on campus! We collected some memorabilia, but are always open to receiving more from years past. Please contact Duffy via email at michael.duffy@cuaa.edu if you have questions or would like to help. The memorabilia will be used for displays that honor the Concordia experience at Ann Arbor.

Our most recent football game at Madonna was a closeout. CUAA scored 67 and Madonna 0. How’s that for history-making!?

Our fall sports are starting to wind down, with just a few weeks left in the season. The CUAA Theatre Department is focusing on “Boar’s Head” and its current production of “You Can’t Take it With You.” Click here to purchase tickets.

Alumni are invited (and encouraged) to attend:

Luther knew the power of music to convey the Gospel message! Take a look at this reflection by our VP for Mission and Church Relations, Rev. Dr. Aaron Moldenhauer, who offers a historical look at Luther's efforts to prioritize song as an instrument to implant God's Word in our hearts and minds.

Not too late to see 'You Can't Take It With You'

There are two shows today and one on Sunday of the Theatre Department's production of "You Can't Take It With You." Click here to see more photos from the production.

CUAA's Healthcare programs committed to high standards through accreditation

CUAA has long been committed to delivering quality education across its academic programs. In particular, its healthcare programs prepare students to meet the rigorous demands of the healthcare industry.
