Mayor Butler Delivers Inspiring 2024 State Of The City Address

City of Forest Park Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA, and the entire City of Forest Park would like to thank everyone who attended this year's State of the City Address. Over the past year, the city has seen a surge in capital investments and innovation that have not only transformed our community, but also helped stimulate our local economy and enhance our city’s competitive edge. From bold Economic Development projects, including the proposed new city center and current construction of the new Forest Park STEM Middle School, as well as the opening of several new businesses, these endeavors are creating jobs and adding to the revitalization efforts of our downtown district. Looking ahead, it is important to recognize that progress is the result of a collaborative effort. It is because of you – our residents, businesses, city employees and key stakeholders – that we are able to work together for the betterment of our community. As always, the P.R.O.G.R.E.S.S continues.

Rhythm and Soul Take Over At Blues On Main Concert

Taking it back with a little rhythm and soul. Main Street was definitely the place to be for our first-ever Blues On Main outdoor concert presented by the Forest Park Downtown Development Authority. Residents and visitors from across the metro packed the Fountain On Main for several special live performances, food vendors and, of course, the line dance floor. When it comes to bringing the community together, nobody does it better than the City of Forest Park!

City's Fire Department Hosts 2nd Annual Girls' Future Fire Camp

If you can believe it, you can achieve it! That was the motto for our second annual Girls' Future Fire Camp hosted by Chief Latosha Clemons and the Forest Park Fire & Emergency Services Department. The FREE two-day camp, which was led by several female fire professionals, focused on the importance of teamwork, first aid, CPR, history of the fire service and much more. Campers even had the chance to get a first-hand look at the city's emergency response equipment and latest technology used to help protect lives and properties. A special thank you to Forest Park Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA, and Councilwoman Latresa Akins-Wells (Ward 4) for stopping by to share some encouraging words!
