FOLLOW US:

Thank you to our Recreational Coaches who have stepped up again this season to provide a positive soccer experience for our members. The use of the SportsEngine app continues to make communication within each team quick and effective including team reminders, schedules and attendance. All coaches receive a PFC jersey, training balls, pump and kit bag to help them in their role. This winter we will have the Fall and Winter seasons delivered at Dunbarton HS and St Marys CSS with an expected return to the dome for March and our Spring 2023 season. 

We also want to thank our Competitive Team staff who have all hosted meetings with their parent group prior to the kick-off of their indoor seasons. These meetings are a chance to hear from the coach about the philosophy and plan for the upcoming season as well as the team manager presenting on budgets and fundraising opportunities. This year we have appointed a member of the club staff to attend each one as there has been a lot of discussion around communication from the Club, and while we continue to improve we know there are some areas that the membership would like to hear about directly from Board or Staff. 

When it comes to communication we want to remind our supporters that 75% of the Durham Region based, soccer social media content during the 2 years of the pandemic was from PFC. Every step of the way we have made attempts to keep our membership informed. This weekly newsletter is also a contact point with membership and supporters, while our staff are always available by email or phone.

We strongly recommend visiting the PFC website on a regular basis for stories and program updates, including;

1. Business opportunities for owners to promote their services and products at no cost on our Members Marketplace
2. Regular updates and video on our Build Back Better project with the new dome.
3. Finally, please take a look at the incredible list of PFC Alumni that have gone on to achieve success in the professional game, internationally or through strong academics.

As a reminder in regards to the prize pick up process, all winners must be aware of the following...

• Pick up deadline is Friday October 28^th, 2022
• Pick up only via Nina or Brendan
• Pick up during PFC Member Services Hours, Monday to Thursday 4PM-8PM & Friday 10AM-2PM
• Winners must provide the winning ticket along with their ID to match the drawn stub*

Our Indoor 2022/23 Recreational season kickoff this weekend! All coaches have now picked up their team uniforms, schedule, and team list.

Downloading the Sportsengine app is the best way to communicate with your team and stay up to date all season long.

IMPORTANT

Please be aware of the facility entrance info for St. Mary's and Dunbarton HS for this weekend:

St Mary 

Families are to park in the back of the school. Entry will be permitted no earlier than 7:45am. Entry will be at the back south doors (closest to the portables). Go through the double doors, down the hall and the double doors for the 2nd gym are on the right. Change rooms with washrooms are available for players and parents.  

Dunbarton

Families are to park in the large west lot and enter through the pool doors. Walk straight and before getting to the stairs, turn right. 1st entrance way into the west gym.
