ACTA's Traditional Arts Roundtable Series is going on tour!

Since 2008, our Traditional Arts Roundtable Series (TARS) has been designed to strengthen intercultural traditional arts networks and to offer opportunities for traditional artists, culture bearers, and arts advocates to learn from one another through dialogue, technical assistance, networking, and sharing of community-based arts and culture. Each event will feature art sharing and engaging conversations with ACTA's Apprenticeship and Living Cultures awardees. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore available ACTA funding opportunities for 2024.

Next up we have TARS in Stockton on April 11, TARS in Davis on April 18, and TARS in San Francisco on June 10. Stay tuned for TARS in Redding and TARS in San Fernando Valley!

Constellations Folk Arts & Cultural Stewardship Grants

In partnership with the California Arts Council, The Constellations Culture Change Fund & Initiative, housed at The Center for Cultural Power, invites California-based organizations who are led by Cultural Bearers and who are working through traditional and tradition-based forms and practices to apply to the 2024 Constellations Folk Arts & Cultural Stewardship Grants.

Deadline: May 1, 2024

Please note: Applicants may apply to both the Constellations Folk Arts & Cultural Stewardship Grants and ACTA’s forthcoming Living Cultures Grants Program. If your organization applies to both programs, and does not receive one of the 3-5 statewide Constellation grants, applicants are still eligible to receive ACTA’s Living Cultures grant. However, if an applicant is recommended for funding by both programs, only one of the grants may be awarded since the California Arts Council is the main funder of both programs. For this reason, we encourage organizations to apply to both programs to allow for the greatest chance of receiving funding.
