Mind Your Beat Dance Battle

Saturday, October 7 | 7:00PM-8:30PM

Come watch our youth show off their dance moves and battle it out at the Mind Your Beat Dance Battle. Contestants have a chance to win a $200 Cash Prize!

Featuring guest judges and a live DJ!

Entry Fee: $5 For Spectators (Contestants Free)

Living Your Art Workshop

Monday, October 16 | 10:00AM-1:00PM

FREE Discover how to nurture your craft, overcome obstacles, and create a strategic path to artistic success in a supportive environment.

This workshop is led by renowned director, writer, actress, and master teacher, Hilda Willis and is ideal for professional artists 18+ seeking focus, networking, and personalized strategies for success.

Open House Street Festival

On September 16th we had our Annual Open House Street Festival and it was nothing short of incredible! It was a true celebration of creativity, culture, and excellence—an unforgettable welcome back to kick of our fall season.

Madaha's Proclamation

Founder Madaha Kinsey Lamb received an official proclamation from New York State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie, which chronicles all the contributions that Madaha has made, not only to Mind-Builders but to the Bronx community as a whole.

An Oasis In the Bronx

Our Dance Director, Melavada Hughes was interviewed by Bronxnet and spoke about how the goal and legacy of Mind-Builders is to make high-quality arts education affordable.

Merit Auditions

First and foremost we want to congratulate all those who attended the Merit Auditions. After 4 separate days of auditions, we are proud to announce that we have 30 new Merit Scholarship recipients! Congratulations!

$5/hr Dance Rehearsal Space at Mind-Builders!

Spread The Word!

Did you know that Mind-Builders received funding from Dance/NYC to provide subsidized dance rehearsal space? The funding allows us to provide $5/hr private studio space! We believe this is an amazing opportunity for dancers in our community to have a safe, comfortable and most importantly, affordable space to practice their forms of movement. So if you know anyone that can benefit from this, please share this information with them. We really want our community to take advantage of this opportunity.
