City Announces New CRAIG 1300™ Tool

City residents now have access to comprehensive demographic information, emergency response reports, socio-economic data and more thanks to the brand new Forest Park CRAIG 1300™ assessment dashboard.


Created using the latest innovative technology, the user-friendly platform will also be implemented by city officials to identify, evaluate and mitigate public safety risks throughout the local community. There is NO COST to access the dashboard.

Event Recap: Botanical Garden En Blanc

Clayton County sure knows how to party! The City of Forest Park would like to thank everyone who attended the Botanical Garden En Blanc event held at the Fountain on Main Street in celebration of City Manager Ricky L. Clark's first 100 days. Event Recap: 2023 Forest Park Day

Hundreds of residents, families and guests from all around metro Atlanta recently gathered at Starr Park to attend this year's annual Forest Park Day, presented by Councilwoman Latresa Akins-Wells and Clayton County Commissioner Dr. Alieka Anderson. From live wrestling matches to performances by music artists Lil Scrappy, Young Dro and Toon, Forest Park Day was definitely one for the history books. In the words of Councilwoman Akins-Wells, "A time was had!"

Officer Askew Recognized As Specialized Officer Of The Month

The City of Forest Park congratulates Officer Askew with the Forest Park Police Department for being selected as the Specialized Officer of the Month. Officer Askew has demonstrated exceptional customer service, as well as proactive efforts, while serving as a valuable asset for the police department. Congrats!

Code Enforcement Staff, City Officials Host Neighborhood Block Party

Staff from the City of Forest Park's Code Enforcement Department recently held a meet-and-greet neighborhood block party at Perkins Park. The event gave residents the chance to learn more about the role of Code Enforcement, while also enjoying plenty of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and beverages. Employee Spotlight: Fatima Fernandez, Financial Services Technician

Meet the Forest Park team! This month's Employee Spotlight features Fatima Fernandez, who serves as a Financial Services Technician within the city's Finance Department. Fatima has been with the City of Forest Park for nearly 3 years. Her duties include handling business licensing, financial payments, notary services and much more. Fatima is also bilingual and receives an extra pay benefit as an incentive for her ability to speak and translate Spanish for our customers. The best part of her job, she says, is the awesome teamwork that happens every day at the office.

Councilman Gutierrez, Rep. Nikema Williams Host Fish Fry For Seniors

It was a very special birthday for Councilman Hector Gutierrez (Ward 3), who had the opportunity to spend the day with one of his favorite community groups: the Forest Park Senior Panthers in Action Committee!


In partnership with Congresswoman Nikema Williams' office, Councilman Gutierrez hosted a fish fry and bingo night for local seniors. A huge thank you goes out to all those who volunteered and donated to the event.
