New Partnership with Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh
Pitt School of Social Work has teamed up with Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh, part of the World Health Organization’s Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities. Together with Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership for Aging and Chatham University, we will engage people of all ages—residents, students, professionals, community leaders—to make our region a better place to grow old. Dr. Toya Jones speaking at Summit

Dr. Nev Jones publishes high impact paper
Assistant Professor Nev Jones, along with a multidisciplinary team of colleagues, has recently published a high impact paper entitled, "An Intersectional Approach to Ethnoracial Disparities in Pathways to Care Among Individuals With Psychosis in Coordinated Specialty Care". This paper describes a new empirical examination of disparities in pathways to specialty care for a first episode of psychosis, and demonstrates the utility of an intersectional approach to examining ethnoracial disparities in care. Staff Profile: Anna Lausberg
Anna Lausberg is celebrating 5 years here at the University of Pittsburgh! Anna has been in her current position as a research specialist in the School of Social Work in Dr. Shaun Eack’s lab since 2016. In her current position she is responsible for conducting the lab’s neuropsychological testing, fMRI’s, and data management for the PACES and Perspectives studies. She also conducts clinical interviews in Dr. Carla Mazefsky’s lab. In 2019 she enrolled in the School of Education’s Higher Education Management master’s program focusing in student affairs. She completed her degree in April 2022. Read more.

MSW alumni Ke’Amber Moses and her husband Tyree Ford will be presenting at the State of Black Learning Conference next month. The title of their session is “InCourage: How to Overcome Awkwardness and Build Trust with Black Students”. Find more information here.
Alumnus named Executive Director of Keystone Opportunity Center
MSW alumnus Brandon Trombetta has been named executive director of the Keystone Opportunity Center. Brandon brings over 20 years’ experience in social services, with 11 of those years in management roles. Most recently, Brandon served as the Executive Director for ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth. Read more.
