Awareness Level Small Animal Emergency Sheltering Class March 16, 2024

Florida State Animal Response Coalition, the University of Florida's IFAS Extension Office, and Madison County Emergency Management would like to offer you an opportunity to take our Awareness Level Small Animal Sheltering class! (Level 1)

When disaster strikes, our team of trained volunteer responders will be there to shelter and protect Florida's companion animals.

This Awareness Level (Level 1) class will give you the knowledge, expertise and practical experience you need to work in an emergency animal shelter and become a professional disaster responder with FL SARC. The Awareness Level Small Animal Emergency Sheltering class is certified by the Florida Department of Emergency Management and is required by FL SARC to respond in Florida to help companion animals during a disaster.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, class registrations are FREE!  After successful completion of this class you will recieve a free Florida SARC uniform t-shirt. Please specify your shirt size on the registration form. Extra shirts can be ordered for $15 each. The animals in Florida need you when disaster strikes. Please click on the link below to register.
